Iran Press/Asia: In the wake of the recent accident for the Afghan migrants in Iran’s northeast border, Afghanistan’s Minister of Migrants’ Affairs called signing a labor agreement between the two countries to prevent such accidents.

Seyyed Hossein Alemi Balkhi said on Monday that the main cause of happening such accidents for the Afghan migrants is the human-traffickers, so to solve the crisis, Tehran and Kabul are expected to sign a labor memorandum of understanding on the Afghans seeking a job in Iran.

He considered the lack of border security, particularly in the Afghan side, as another cause of such accidents, noting that the lack of security paves the way for the abuse of human traffickers.

The Afghan minister also called for the formation of a committee in the country’s Ministry of Justice to fight human trafficking, meanwhile calling for solving the problems of visa issuance for Afghan nationals in joint borders with Iran.
