112 shipments of int\\\'l aid sent to Iran\\\'s Red Crescent: Official

Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS), stating that 112 shipments of international aid have been sent to the IRCS during the Corona era, noted that People and donors have donated over 80 billion tomans in cash and non-cash.

Iran PressIran News: Karim Hemmati, the head of the Red Crescent Society, said in a video press conference with reference to the actions of this society, made the remark that every year, May 8 is the International Day of the Red Cross.

He stated that the IRCS has also caused peace of mind in accidents and this society has nearly 10,000 fixed forces.

Referring to the actions of the IRCS during the outbreak of Coronavirus, Hemmati said: "Over 68 million people used the contents of the Red Crescent Society's training on corona in cyberspace."

Hemmati added: "Also, over 21 million people were screened in the country, especially in 13 densely populated provinces."

The official underlined: "People and philanthropists have provided more than 50 billion tomans of non-cash donations and more than 30 billion tomans of cash donations to this society during the Corona crisis."

The head of the Red Crescent Society also announced the sending of 112 shipments of international aid during the Corona era.
