The 28th meeting of the state parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention began on Monday, November 27, at the headquarters of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague, Netherlands.
Delivering a speech in the meeting, Reza Najafi condemned the Israeli war on Gaza called for an investigation by the OPCW and other international organizations regarding the possible use of chemical weapons, especially nerve agents, by the Israeli regime in Gaza.
He referred to the four main crimes the Israeli regime perpetrated against the Gazan people, namely genocide, war crimes, crimes against the humanity, and aggression and said that the crimes hold the regime and its supporters accountable.
The Iranian official called for the dismantling of such illegal measures that are contrary to the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention and restricting the trade in chemicals and the peaceful use of chemistry.
