(IP)- Iran and Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cinematic cooperation.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian representative of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Khazaei and the Uzbek official Firdous Abdul Khaliq signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further cooperate in the field of cinema.

The memorandum of understanding corresponds to the common interest, the development of friendly relations, and the expansion of film cooperation with regard to the deep cultural and civilizational records of the two countries.      

It was also decided that a joint committee, consisting of equal numbers of representatives of Iran and Uzbekistan, will facilitate and implement the provisions of the memorandum of understanding and follow up on the issues and problems facing the MoU.

The invitation to film festivals, provision of facilities to ease the participation and presence of filmmakers and cinematographers, the exchange of technical and specialized knowledge and the exchange of professors and students in the field of cinema, the production of joint films including features, documentary, and animation were the other terms of discussion in the meeting between the Uzbek and the Iranian officials.
