Iran's Minister of Agriculture, Gholamreza Nouri Qazaljeh, speaking on the sidelines of a government meeting, announced that Iran held its first joint commission with African countries after a 16-year break, specifically with Tanzania.

Iran PressIran news:  During this meeting, 11 contracts and agreements were signed, marking a significant milestone in Iran-Tanzania relations.

Some of these agreements were signed by representatives from the private sector accompanying the Iranian delegation. The agreements cover visa facilitation for businesspeople from both nations, including the cancellation of visas for certain groups. Additionally, plans are in place to establish a Tanzanian embassy in Iran.

Nouri Qazaljeh emphasized the strategic importance of Tanzania, as it serves as a gateway for seven to eight African nations seeking to connect with the global market. This made Tanzania a priority for Iran in their renewed African engagements.
