The foreign ministers of Iran and Japan have reiterated their commitment to maintaining ongoing bilateral dialogue and cooperation.

 Iran PressIran news:  Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with his Japanese counterpart, Takeshi Iwaya. During the call, Araghchi congratulated Iwai on his recent appointment as Japan’s Foreign Minister and emphasized the importance of strengthening the longstanding relations between Tehran and Tokyo.

The two officials exchanged views on the latest regional developments, stressing the need for international efforts to prevent further instability in the Middle East. Both ministers called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, and the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to displaced civilians.

The conversation concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continued consultations aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and promoting peace and stability in the region.
