Strait of Hormuz (IP) - The joint rescue exercise at sea with the participation of the naval forces of the Iranian army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the Royal Navy of Oman, hosted by the country of Oman, was held in the waters of the northern Indian Ocean and the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran PressIran news: The joint maritime rescue exercise of the naval forces of Iran and Oman, based on the operational plans of the sea base, hosted by the Sultan of Oman Navy and with the participation of the combat vessels of Iran Navy, the IRGC, and the surface and flight combat units of the Oman navy was held in the waters of the northern Indian Ocean and the Strait of Hormuz.

The joint drill is dubbed "Falcons of Mountain-1."

This exercise was held to improve combat readiness and implement the agreements made related to maritime security scenarios in the joint military friendship commissions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman, with the participation of the all-Iranian destroyer Jamaran and the armored missile launcher of Iran's Navy and two combat vessels of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as the surface and flight units of the Sultanate of Oman's naval forces.

Iran and Oman are neighboring countries with rich histories and cultural and religious commonalities that have established good relations with each other for many years.
