Iran Press/Iran news: In a Thursday night telephone call, Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Badr Abdel Ati, the Foreign Minister of Egypt,conversed about the Gaza developments, the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Zionist regime, and matters concerning bilateral relations.
Araqhi expressed gratitude to Egypt for its efforts in achieving the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and halting the actions of the occupying regime. He welcomed the agreement and expressed hope for its full implementation as per the envisioned arrangements.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister also conveyed contentment with the Gaza ceasefire agreement and expressed optimism that its implementation would alleviate the suffering and hardship of the Gaza population.
Following 15 months of Israeli military actions against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani formally declared a ceasefire between Hamas and the Israeli regime on Wednesday evening (January 15). The ceasefire is set to commence on Sunday.
