Beirut (IP) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah has urged an immediate evacuation of 25 settlements and cities in northern occupied territories following intensified clashes between the resistance movement and Israeli forces.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The call, issued on Saturday through a Hezbollah video broadcast by Lebanon’s Al-Manar television network, follows months of escalating exchanges along the Lebanon-occupied territories border.

In the video, Hezbollah’s Media warned Israeli residents remaining in the identified settlements, which include Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, Rosh Pina, and Katzrin, to evacuate immediately. The message, directed at Zionist settlers, stated: “Your settlements have become bases and staging grounds for enemy military forces attacking Lebanon. As a result, they have become legitimate military targets for the Islamic Resistance’s air and missile forces.”

Amid rising security concerns, municipal councils in northern Israeli towns have reportedly decided not to reopen schools, opting instead to continue classes online.

The development comes after Hezbollah conducted a record 48 operations against Israeli targets on Friday, using both missiles and drones in coordinated waves. This surge in military action follows Israel’s intensifying airstrikes on Lebanon, which began in October 2023 after Hezbollah declared its support for Palestinians in Gaza amid an Israeli genocidal campaign. Hezbollah’s response to the Israeli genocide has included a series of retaliatory operations aimed at Israeli military positions.
