Russia (IP) - In a telephone conversation, Iran's ambassador to Russia and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the expansion of cooperation despite the US destructive acts.

Iran PressEurope: According to Russia's Foreign Ministry, Kazem Jalali and Igor Morgolov discussed the main directions of Iran and Russia's cooperation, with a special focus on combatting the coronavirus.

The most important areas of cooperation between Iran and Russia include energy, transportation, industry, and advanced technologies; the two countries export some items of agricultural products and food, especially seafood.

Moscow and Tehran are also cooperating in the fight against coronavirus.

In a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin last May, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the importance of expanding cooperation with and exchanging experiences between Iran and Russia in combating the coronavirus.

Rouhani also stressed the officials of the two countries should try to carry out trade exchanges in accordance with health protocols.    207
