Iran ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna Kazem Gharibabadi

Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna stated that the opposition of the United States and its allies to the Iran-China strategic document shows the validity of this wise decision to make the most of international opportunities in the face of maximum pressure.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Gharibabadi posted a message on his Instagram page, adding: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is under the most severe, cruel and illegal sanctions of the American regime. Trump has resorted to the so-called policy of maximum pressure against Iran in order to achieve his goals."

"Despite the strong infrastructure of the country and the unwavering support of the honorable nation for the system and the resistance against sanctions, the various opportunities available in the international arena to counter sanctions should be used to the maximum," he added.

The diplomat noted that building coalition and entering into strategic and long-term cooperation, while preserving national interests and security and observing the laws of the country, is one of these measures and stated: "Today, China is not only opposing the unilateralist and expansionist US policies but also has the world's second-largest economy with 15.5 percent, with a GDP of $ 14.14 trillion."

Gharibabadi said that the country also has several positions in common with Iran on international issues and in recent years, has always opposed the adoption of decisions and actions against Iran within the framework of international organizations, adding: "It is natural in such circumstances, the United States and its supporters to make every desperate effort to keep Iran in economic isolation and prevent it from entering into extensive trade and economic relations with other countries. "

On June 21, 2020, the final draft of the 25-year plan for the Comprehensive Document on Cooperation between Iran and China was approved by Iran's Government, which covers all areas؛ including oil, gas, and electronics and it can be a clear roadmap for future relations between the two countries.  207/216
