Iran Press/ Europe: The United States wants to prevent China and Russia from taking control of space, according to the Pentagon's strategy released Friday 19 June, in this way, the United States is counting on the help of its allies, including their financial aid.
Russia's foreign ministry said in a statement: "This document demonstrates the aggressive spirit of Washington's space policy. The American side has assumed the space to be a battlefield. Any armed confrontation in space could have dire consequences for international security and strategic stability."
Moscow has called on Washington to pursue a responsible policy, in this regard.
The statement went on to say: "Russia, in turn, has a completely different position, prioritizing the use of space only for peaceful purposes. Russia is also trying to prevent an arms race in space."
Based on the strategy published by Washington, China and Russia are the most important strategic threats because the two countries have developed, tested and deployed military capabilities in space, and their military doctrine has predicted the use of these capabilities in the event of a conflict.
The document released in Washington also states that Chinese and Russian military doctrines value space for modern warfare, and use space weapons as a tool to reduce the military impact of the United States and its allies to win future wars.
