Syrian Army air defenses confront with Israeli missile attack

Syrian Army air defenses confronted with the Israeli aggression over Palmyra on Monday, shooting down a number of hostile missiles, according to Syria's official news agency SANA.

Iran PressMiddle East: SANA reporter said that at nearly 11 p.m., the Army air defenses confronted Israeli missile aggression over Palmyra, East of Homs, and shot down a number of hostile missiles before reaching their targets.

Earlier on March 31st, the Army air defenses also intercepted Israeli missile aggression over Homs and destroyed most of them before reaching their targets.

The Israeli regime has carried out frequent air and missile strikes against targets inside Syria since the country descended into civil war in 2011. Most have been against what Israel said were Iranian targets or positions of Iran’s Lebanese ally, Hezbollah. The war in Syria has killed more than 370,000 people and displaced millions more.
