Iran Press/Middle East: The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif appreciated the UAE’s aid and solidarity and called Coronavirus a global issue that requires the determination, cooperation and assistance of all countries in the world to defeat it.
Earlier, Zarif and his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarev in a telephone conversation discussed the outbreak of Coronavirus in the region and the world as well as the need for collective cooperation of all countries to confront it.
Zarif appreciated the assistance provided by the Azerbaijan Republic government and nation, and called the US cruel and unilateral sanctions the main obstacle to his country's fight against the dangerous virus, and reminded that Iran and the world will pass the difficult stage.
Since the outbreak of Coronavirus or Covid-19 in Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif has had extensive consultations both through telephone conversations and social media to explain Iran's conditions to various countries.
Today also, the Iranian Foreign Minister’s assistants in separate meetings with the Iranian-resident ambassadors and missions delivered Zarif’s letters to the foreign ministers of different countries about Iran's campaign against Coronavirus and the impact of tough US sanctions on the campaign.
