Iran Press/ Middle East: Sawt al-Iraq Radio quoted security sources as saying on Sunday that the Iraqi agents have identified and arrested the UAE's agents responsible for financing some demonstrators in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities.
"The UAE's team was conducting extremely dangerous activities in Iraq aimed at overthrowing the government," the Iraqi source added.
According to the report, the spy team was directly linked to Tahnoun bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, a UAE national security adviser and responsible for the foreign intelligence branch of the UAE government.
He is also the brother of the ruler of the United Arab Emirates.
Sawt al-Iraq noted that Abu Dhabi is currently working with some Western parties to cover up the case with Iraqi officials.
The Iraqi government has yet to officially comment on the identification and arrest of the UAE spying team. 207/211/219
