Iran Press/Iran news: In a video conference meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, Juma Anad Saadoun, Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said, "We want to give all our capabilities to Iraq and we want to become strategic partners and make our relations a successful model of cooperation."
Expressing satisfaction with the formation of the government based on the will and national consensus and within the framework of the interests of all ethnic groups and religions in Iraq, the Iranian Minister Brigadier General Hatami said, "We hope that the Iraqi government will be successful in fulfilling its inherent responsibilities and duties, especially in fulfilling its national aspirations, improving economic conditions and fighting Corona disease."
Referring to the need for defense cooperation between the two countries in establishing stability and security in the region, Hatami noted, "We want to give all our capabilities to Iraq and we want to become strategic partners and make our relations a successful model of cooperation."
Wishing the Iraqi government success in combating and eradicating Corona, the defense minister said, "A number of Corona test kits and other medical supplies for this disease will be delivered to the Iraqi embassy in Tehran as a gift from the Ministry of Defense."
Hatami also invited the Iraqi Minister of Defense to pay an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Earlier on Saturday, Iran's military Attache to Baghdad Brigadier General Mustafa Moradian held a meeting with Mustafa Al-Kazemi, the new Iraqi minister in Baghdad.
