Tehran (IP) - Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health has announced that the death toll has shrunk to under 80.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Tuesday 28 April about the latest data on the deadly coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to now April 28 in the country, 1,112 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 92584. Fortunately, 72,439 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far," Jahanpour added.

The head of Public Relations Center at Ministery of Health and Medical Education said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 71 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and in overall 5,877 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

He stated: "2,983 patients are in a critical condition."

"So far, 442,590 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," he added.
