Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking in a live video presser held at Health Ministry on April 25, Iraj Harirchi said that a declining trend of the disease was significantly observed in most provinces of the country, which was the result of the appropriate actions by the government and the people.
"Now that resuming the operations of businesses and reducing social distance are done intelligently and gradually, any negligence can have irreparable and severe consequences," he warned.
Iranian Deputy Health Minister went on to add: "Until the discovery of drugs and vaccines, any negligence exposes both the individual and his family to severe illness and death."
Iraj Harirchi urged the people to follow the slogan of 'Stay Home' and reduce unnecessary commuting.
He also emphasized that no drugs have been proven to treat COVID-19, adding: "Most antiviral drugs that are prescribed either have a low to moderate effect or are ineffective."
Iran's Deputy Health Minister pointed to the reopening of parks and recreational areas last Wednesday, adding that the country is aimed at considering economic and livelihood considerations, as well as the mental and religious health of the nation.
"People's health is a priority, and if we see that reopening has a detrimental effect on the health conditions, firstly, there will be a delay in future reopenings, and secondly, there may be a revision in the previous reopening and a return to the previous situation," he stressed.
