Iraq calls for joint medicine production line with Iran

Iraqi Health Minister Jaafar Sadiq Allawi in a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi called for Iranian companies’ contribution to install and run the joint medicine production line.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iran’s ambassador to Iraq on Sunday evening held talks with the Iraqi Health Minister.

During the event, the two sides discussed the latest developments on hygienic and environmental protocols and ties including the strategies on how to confront the COVID-19 consequences and the related impacts on border businesses and bilateral trade.

Closure and the reopening of the joint border crossings located in Mehran, Shalamche, and Chazzabe borders together with a halt in the business exchanges were among another topic discussed by the two sides.

Also, in this meeting, the Iraqi Minister of Health called for the participation and presence of Iranian pharmaceutical companies in the production and launch of a joint drug production line in the country.
