Mashhad (IP) - Iran’s volunteer women in the Holy city of Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi province, are involved in sewing and making medical gowns to be used by medical staff at the hospitals in the northeastern province.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian female mobilized forces have been producing 3000 gowns daily.

The expenses have been provided by the benefactors and in the next step, the products would be delivered to Mashhad University of Medical sciences.

As the COVID-19 has spread all across Iran, producing the healthcare items as well as sanitizing the streets and passages are on the run in Mashhad and other cities by volunteer and mobilized forces.

The global case tally for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 has climbed to nearly 2.5 million. The death toll rose to more than 170,000, while more than 650,000 have recovered from the disease.

In Iran, 83,505 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, 5,209 people have died due to the virus and 59,273 have recovered.
