Tehran (IP) - The head of Rescue and Relief Organization of Iran's Red Crescent Society Morteza Salimi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday said that Japan aid cargo which transferred to Tehran will be sent to patients who are in a critical condition such as those who suffer from cancer.

Iran PressIran News: Salimi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press noted to the significance of the humanitarian nature of the Japan support to Iran for fight Coronavirus and said: "This donation program was the fourth part of aid by the World Food Program which was transferred to Iran and it would be going to help the Islamic country to fight against novel coronavirus.

"This equipment will be sent to patients who are in a critical condition such as those who suffer from cancer and the surplus would be handed over to health ministry to distribute in treatment centers.", added Salimi.

According to Salimi, the total value of this aid will be 7 million$, which was prepared by Japan and delivered by China.

Salimi also explained that the first part of the donation included 370000 3-layer masks, 370,000 N95 masks and 370000 protection gowns with the next parts to be received in the next days in 3 or 4 phases.

With the presence of Iran's representative of world food program Negar Gerami and Morteza Salimi on Sunday, April 19, Japan's humanitarian aid donation by world food program for COVID- 19 was delivered to Iran.
