Iran adopts Executive Comprehensive Energy Plan

Tehran (IP) - The Iranian government approved on Sunday the country’s Executive Comprehensive Energy Plan, by the virtue of the Sixth Development Plan Act and in line with the National Energy Strategy Document.

Iran Press/Iran News: Providing the appropriate analytical instrument for developing mid-term and long-term strategies in energy sector development, policy-making to maximize energy, economic, and environmental benefits to achieve sustainable development, and energy demand management based on energy carriers and energy-consuming sectors are of the goals of the plan.

According to the decree, the Ministries of Oil and Energy and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) are assigned to send their performance annual report to the Planning and Budget Organization within the framework of the Executive Comprehensive Energy Plan.

Other executive agencies are also obliged to compile and implement their executive programs in accordance with the tasks and characteristics of the very plan and send their annual performance report to the Planning and Budget Organization.
