Tehran (IP) - The Health Ministry spokesman said in the Islamic Republic of Iran providing healthcare for all people is one of the humanitarian matters and all people should benefit from medical services.

Iran Press/Iran news: Answering Iran Press question regarding the importance of caring immigrants, including Afghan citizens infected with COVID-19 in Iranian public hospitals, Kianoush Jahanpour stated that those who live in Iran as foreign nationals like Afghans are included to benefit the healthcare services that the Islamic Republic of Iran offers to and these services is definitely based on humanity and Islamic nature of Islamic republic governing system.

"As Islam indicates, whatever the Islamic Republic of Iran provides to its citizens and its nation, it offers to other nationals as well", Jahanpour noted.

The official highlighted that the US imposed sanctions have made the conditions tough for all, even when we know that the internal needs of the country have been met, we will provide facilities as a shared responsibility for our neighbors.

Jahanpour said: "We provide the world with every opportunity beyond our needs. Every pandemic can only be controlled if different societies accept responsibility and common action, and Corona is no exception."

Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health in Iran announced that so far, 58,226 people in the country have definitely been infected with the Coronavirus, 3,603 people have died due to the virus and 22,011 have recovered.
