Liquid bleach production line to be launched in Tehran refinery

Tehran (IP) - The Managing Director of Tehran Refinery on Monday announced the launch of a liquid bleach production line with a daily production capacity of four thousand liters.

Iran PressIran News: The Managing Director of Tehran Refinery Lotfollah Hangi said on Monday that the refinery is manufacturing disinfectants in addition to petroleum products and fuels as part of a social mission in Iranian society to provide Iran health workers with assistance.

Referring to the fact that the produced solution (liquid bleach or household bleach which is also called sodium hypochlorite is mixed with 50 times more water when used, adding: "With this project, Tehran refinery has achieved 5% liquid bleach production capacity."

Pointing out to the fact that observing the environmental requirements as well as paying respect for the rights of the people, Hangi said that the refinery is ready to meet the needs of neighboring organizations and companies for water disinfectant.

Hangi went on to elaborate that regarding the COVID-19 outbreak all across Iran and as well as the possible risks posed by the spread of the virus among the personnel, the body is after implementing health programs such as disinfection of all buildings, offices, traffic routes, and domestic vehicles and that is why liquid bleach production process has been designed and implemented as the step to provide disinfectant with high quality,

Tehran Petroleum Refinery has a refining capacity of 235 barrels of crude oil per day; it has been established in 1968 and now comprises 2 southern and northern refineries. 207
