Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Italian counterpart held a telephone conversation on Monday, consulting the coronavirus outbreak in the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: During a phone call, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Luigi Di Maio expressed their condolences and sympathies over the death of Iranian and Italian people who have lost their lives due to the virus outbreak. 

Iran's Foreign Minister referred to the US insistence on continuing unilateral, illegal and inhumane sanctions against the Iranian nation, called on the need to stop these cruel sanctions.

Following the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran, Iran's Foreign Minister has spoken with some of his counterparts around the world to disregard the US sanctions against Iran.

In this regard, the Iranian Foreign Minister also held a telephone conversation with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and emphasized the need to abolish inhumane, cruel, illegal and unilateral US sanctions against the Iranian people.
