Iran conducts research, development on anti-coronavirus medicine

Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Secretary of Scientific Committee for Coronavirus said Iranian knowledge-based companies have kicked off research and development of anti-coronavirus medicine.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran’s Secretary of Scientific Committee for Coronavirus Mostafa Qanei stated that the Iranian companies will enter the clinical trial phase of developing the medicine within the next 3 next months and said that the medicine may be produced in the upcoming winter.

"Research and development do not mean production," Qanei said, stressing that these materials are being studied to be used if the disease is a long-term one.

The Secretary of Scientific Committee for Coronavirus stressed it is still the beginning of the way to cure Covid-19, but the medicinal ingredients have been used in Japan worked effectively.
