Iran Press/Iran News: Rouhani initially thanked the Iranian people for following the instructions of the National Task Force for combating coronavirus and the Ministry of Health's guidelines, saying, "the people have acted well and those who have traveled have not left their homes."
He also thanked the manufacturers, the medical staff for their efforts to combat coronavirus and added, "Thank God our conditions are better than others even in developed countries."
Hassan Rouhani went on to point out the importance of health in Islam saying that Islam is a religion of health, and 14 centuries ago when Europe and the Arabian Peninsula lacked cognitive health, one of the principles of Islam was health and cleanliness.
Rouhani also pointed to Iran as a pioneer in the health and continued, "Nationally, the one who invented alcohol and produced disinfectants was Iranian scholar. The Iranians promoted medical science. Therefore, the world owes to Islam and Iran in many scientific and health fields."
Iranian President also said: "Another issue I must emphasize is that we must do our best to develop the nation's progress. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has named this year, the year of 'Surge in Production' and we need to double our efforts in this regard."
Rouhani called the new year "the opening of very important projects " and added, " Cabinet Ministers should now announce the list of projects that can be opened in the new year."
At the same time, he also pointed to the conditions of realization of the slogan of the 'Surge in Production', adding that the 'Surge in Production is carried out through good relations with neighbors and friendly countries. If we are to make a leap in production, we need to attract investors, technology, import raw materials and export manufactured goods, and good foreign policy and diplomacy can help.
In another part of his speech, Rouhani referred to reforming the banking system, stock exchange, customs, tax law and improving the business environment for the production leap.
The US claims are false on helping Iran against coronavirus
Hassan Rouhani called the US sanctions cruel, illegal, and terrorist, and said that some countries are working with the US against these sanctions, which have made the situation more difficult for the Islamic Republic.
"The United States claims it wants to help Iran fight Coronavirus, but it's a lie," he said. This is like one prevents another one from drinking clean water, but instead, offers that person muddy water," the president underscored.
"The Americans are blocking our oil sales," he said. The United States is responsible for some of the unemployment and hardship of the Iranian nation. The Americans have committed the biggest crimes in the Middle East and Iran, but claim that they want to help Iran fight Coronavirus.
