Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Health Minister for Nursing Department said the nurses are adequately trained in tackling Coronavirus and are capable of caring for infected patients.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Saturday 29 February, Maryam Hazrati said that infection supervisors, as well as training supervisors in hospitals, have trained nursing groups to tackle the outbreak.  

"We have prepared protective equipment for nurses which may be lesser in some sections but we are doing our best and our nurses are in high spirit," Hazrati added.

She remarked that the message of the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei over appreciating physicians and nurses gave a fresh spirit to the people and nursing society.

The top health official said the nursing staff is trying to observe standards as the Minister of Health and Medical Education emphatically ordered to provide the nurses with adequate equipment.

"We are doing our best so that the nurses can care for their patients with the utmost safety," Iran's Deputy Health Minister for Nursing Department reiterated.
