Parliament Speaker urges people to follow guidelines on Coronavirus

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani urged people to follow the guidelines of the Health Ministry on containing and controlling Coronavirus during today's closed session.

Iran PressIran news: During the Parliament closed session, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani thanking the nation for participation in the Parliamentary elections, urged people to follow the guidelines instructed by Health Ministry to control the Coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, He also asked the Health Commission to monitor the issue precisely. 

Ali Larijani further referred to the recent earthquake in West Azerbaijan, urging the Civil Commission and Health Commission of the Parliament to follow on the issue and submit their reports to the parliament till next week.

The President's letter was then read to the Parliament Speaker, during which the proposed Minister of Jihad and Agriculture, Kazem Khawazi, was introduced to the Parliament for a vote of confidence.

The Agriculture Commission is due to present the results of its review next week.

The closed session of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) kicked off at 8 this morning with the attendance of Iranian Health Minister Saeid Namaki

The main subject is discussion on the latest development about the Coronavirus outbreak in Iran.

The session is held after about a 20-day break. The parliament is due to review the budget of the year 2020/2021 equivalent to 1399 in Persian Calendar.
