Iran Press/ Iran News: This is the 41st spring when the Iranian people overthrew the despotic Pahlavi regime and achieved the real independence and freedom that they longed for; many believe the progress Iran has made in the past four decades in science, technology, politics, defence and military matters, and security in the Middle East, are all indebted to the Islamic Revolution and the sacred Islamic system.
Iran was economically and politically dependent on the West before the Islamic Revolution, but today Islamic Iran has transformed into an important and influential power in the region that stands up to the oppressors, and supports the oppressed.
The martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, and the current sensitive regional and international situation, have made celebrations of this year's "Victory Day" different from previous years, which is why different groups of people have prepared themselves for this magnificent march a few days ago.
Great 11 February March boosts national unity and solidarity
The massive turnout of the Iranian people in the 11 February rallies and marches makes this day into a day of national unity and solidarity, dashing the hopes of the enemies of the Islamic Republic.
All the achievements of today's Islamic Iran are due to the glorious Islamic Revolution and the courage and sacrifices made by the martyrs. The Islamic Revolution has been a constant source of honour for Iran.
Iran's growth and development after the victory of the Islamic Revolution took a new form and that revolution saved the country from domination by the hegemonic powers. No doubt Islamic Iran is one of the important powers of the region scientifically and militarily, and these successes have been achieved as a direct result of the Revolution.
After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian nation has moved forward, progressing in many different fields, including science and technology, has staunchly resisted attacks and sanctions by the enemies, and overcome them. The existing security of Islamic Iran has been achieved through the blood of thousands of martyrs and the Iranian people will not allow anyone take away their hard-earned security.
Today, other Islamic countries, inspired by the Islamic Revolution, are cutting off the plundering hands of the arrogant powers from their homeland, and the Islamic Revolution is being exported to other countries.
The enthusiastic presence of the people in the rallies of 11 February, shows their renewed allegiance with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, frustrating the enemies and thwarting their plots.
February 11 belongs to the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the presence of all factions and parties, people with different political preferences, march on this day to strengthen the system of the Islamic Republic. The great nation of Iran has always supported the Islamic system, the Leadership and ideals of the Islamic Revolution, at many different junctures.
This is equally true today as can be seen from the huge crowds which throng the streets of different cities and towns throughout Iran, celebrating a day of freedom and independence.
