Tehran (IP)- Iran's new ambassador to Belarus Saeed Yari, submitted a copy of his credentials to the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Maki on Monday.

Iran Press/Europe: At the meeting on Monday, the two officials discussed bilateral ties and the prospect for cooperation between Tehran and Minsk on a range of issues.

The Byelorussian Foreign Minister congratulated the Iranian nation and government on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and referred to Iran as 'a close partner' of Belarus, expressing hope that the ties between Minsk and Tehran could be further expanded and strengthened.

Saeed Yari considered the membership of Iran and Belarus in the EurAsian Economic Union (EAEU) as providing an excellent opportunity for boosting trade and business ties between the two countries.
