Iran's Customs Head Mehdi Mir Ashrafi and his Belarusian counterpart Yury Senko signed an agreement on a mutual trade facilitation system on Wednesday in Seoul, with the two sides' envoys in attendance.

Iran Press/ Asia: The mutual trade facilitation system between Iran and Belarus was signed to improve the agreement on establishing a trade free zone between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Eurasian Union countries enforced among the member states since October this year.

The Iranian-Belarusian agreement aims at elevating the customs cooperation to preserve the two countries' economic and social interests within the framework of the Eurasian free zone.

The 82nd session of Policy Commission of World Customs Organization is currently underway in Seoul, South Korea's capital, with the Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization and members of the Policy Commission, in attendance.

The three-day summit will focus on the most important topics of the World Customs Organization, including strategic planning, capacity building, data analysis, e-commerce, regulations and facilities, information strategy and blockchain in customs.
