Iran Press/ Iran news: The Head of Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Mohammad Javad Dehqani said that the results of a study by this center show that Tehran and Tehran Medical Sciences Universities are among the top 10 universities, Iran Press reported.
Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) is an international scientific organization and avant-garde citation system in the Muslim world that has been published Islamic World Universities' Rankings from 2013.
ISC also included 43 Iranian universities in the list of the top universities in its ranking.
"The Sharif University of Technology, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan University of Technology, Tarbiat Modarres, Amir Kabir University of Technology, Shiraz, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Shahid Beheshti University are among the top universities in the rankings," Dehqani added.
Dehqani said that most universities in this ranking belong to the countries of Turkey, Iran, and Malaysia, which are ranked 77, 43 and 21 respectively.
Dehqani pointed out that ISC Rankings can show the strengths and weaknesses of universities by any criterion, and the position of each university among Islamic countries and become the basis for university policymaking.
The ISC Islamic World University Rankings lists universities that have registered at least 800 citations in the Web of Science site over 2015-2017.
