Tehran (IP) - Speaking at the event to commemorate the 100th birthday anniversary of the martyred Iranian philosopher and theoretician Morteza Motahhari, Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani referred to leader's words calling Martyred Motahhari as the ideologist of the Islamic Revolution.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani delivered a speech at the event to commemorate the 100th birthday anniversary of the martyred Iranian philosopher and theoretician Morteza Motahhari, saying that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution considered martyred Motahari as the ideologist of the Islamic Republic.

Iran's Parliament Speaker pointed to the similarity of the martyrdom of Motahari and the Commander of IRGC Quds Force Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, saying: "Both of them became more known with their thoughts in the society after their martyrdom."

Lt.Gen. Soleimani's blood moved not only Iran but the entire region

Ali Larijani further explained that the enemies had thought that with the assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, the movement of the Islamic Revolution in the region would be halted and stopped, but his blood moved not only Iran but the entire region.

Iran's Parliament Speaker went on to add that this commemoration is on the occasion of martyred Motahari's 100th birthday, a great man who has been unique in the Iranian  contemporary  history in terms of a coherent and inclusive Islamic mindset.

Ali Larijani said: " 40 years since his assassination if we take a look at martyred Motahari's thoughts and roles, three aspects of his intellectual life will be revealed."

The first point is his success in publishing diverse and highly instructive works on different topics, which meet the youth's needs. Second, despite passing 40 years of his martyrdom, his works are still fascinating, and useful. Third, the Leader said that martyred Motahari was the ideologist of the Islamic Republic.

He also noted that martyred Motahari had seen the Islamic Revolution as a movement that provided the well-being of society, adding that: "Whenever a movement wins, opportunists throw themselves in and if they are not prevented, the movement would be in danger."

At the end of the commemoration ceremony, two of martyred Motahari's books were unveiled; 'The innate nature of religion' and 'Islamic Family System'. Both books have been taken from the discussions of martyred Motahari in discussion sessions.

The commemoration of the 100th birthday anniversary of the martyred Iranian philosopher and theoretician Morteza Motahhari held today in Arasbaran Cultural Center in Tehran, with the social and cultural deputy of Tehran's Mayor Meysam Amroodi, Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Second Deputy of the Parliament Ali Motahari, and the family of martyred Motahari in attendance.
