Iran Press/Iran news: Following the demise of a number of our dear compatriots during the funeral of the honorable Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in Kerman, as well as the heartbreaking passenger airline crash on 8th January, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, issued a message of condolences. The full text of the message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. The painful and heartrending tragedy of the death of a number of our dear compatriots during the funeral of the honorable martyr and the Iranian and non-Iranian passengers in the airline crash were two upsetting events during these two days.
I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy for the mourning families and my deep sorrow. I ask Allah, the Exalted, to bestow patience on the families and His mercy and forgiveness on those who lost their lives. Seyyed Ali Khamenei, January 8, 2020.
