A Ukrainian Airline Boeing 737 has crashed shortly after take off from Imam Khomeini International Airport about 30 kilometers south of Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Initial reports indicate that there were 180 passengers and crew on board the commercial airliner and that the plane came down because of a technical glitch or malfunction.

The Plane was traveling from Tehran to Kiev the Ukrainian capital when it crashed shortly after take-off from Imam Khomeini international airport, Iran Press reported.

A spokesman for Iran's accidents and emergency services, Mojtaba Khaledi, has said 10 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene of the crash, the Ferdows region of Shahriar, west or southwest of Tehran.
