Chabahar (IP) - A spokesman for the Iran-Russia-China joint naval exercises has said that Iran cannot be isolated and this will be one of the most important achievements of the "Marine Security Belt" exercise.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in a press conference on Friday, Rear Admiral Gholamreza Tahani referred to a statement by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, saying Iran must deter the enemy from attack and that the power and authority of Iran's Armed Forces are the root of this deterrent power.

According to an  Iran Press report, Rear Admiral Tahani added: "The Indian Ocean, with an area of ??70 million square kilometers, is the third-largest ocean in the world and one of the most sensitive and important regions of the world. The North Indian Ocean is a very important region. And three of the world's most strategic straits and waterways are located in this region, namely the Strait of Hormuz, the Strait of Malacca, and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Together they are known as the Golden Triangle and are located in this region."

The spokesman for the joint naval exercise added: "It is the duty of all Navies to protect their territorial waters, but no single country can guarantee the security of the oceans. For this purpose, a collective effort is needed. To secure the ocean, countries are seeking synergy and convergence while holding joint naval exercises in oceanic waters."

Admiral Gholamreza Tahani went on to say: "The Iran-Russia-China naval drills is a combined naval exercise attended by units of the Iranian Navy, units of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Navy (IRGC), units of the Russian Federation's Navy and the Navy of the People's Republic of China. The joint exercises will last for 4 days."

He added that as the Russian and Chinese naval units sail into the port of Chabahar, the drill enters the operational phase.

According to Rear Admiral Tahani, strengthening and enhancing the security of commercial shipping and maritime trade, countering piracy and maritime terrorism, exchanging experiences on naval rescue operations, exchanging operational and tactical experiences, and transferring these experiences to the younger generation are the goals of this important joint naval exercise.

The spokesman went on to say that the message of the exercise is a message of peace, friendship and lasting security in the light of unity and responsible cooperation. The outcome will be international as well. After all, military experts will certainly refer to this joint naval exercise in their strategic analysis.

Rear Admiral Tahani stated: "We declare that Iran cannot be isolated and that this will be one of the most important achievements of this exercise. This exercise shows that Iran-Russia-China relations have reached a strategic and meaningful level, and the joint drills are set to continue in the coming years."
