Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's President Hassan Rouhani sent a message on Monday, saying: "Young Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling champions brought another honour for our Islamic country by becoming World Champions in Hungary."
"I would like to offer my congratulations to their parents and the Iranian nation over the glorious victory and appreciate all the hard work of their coaches and coaching staff," the message read.
"I hope that we witness more success and victories for our young athletes in all sports arenas, especially the coming Olympic games with the help of God and appropriate management and planning by sporting authorities," he concluded.
Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers made history on Sunday and were crowned king of the mat in Budapest Senior U23 World Championships for the first time.
