The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said the military cadets are the Islamic Republic of Iran's strategic asset.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani on the sideline of the 'ceremony for honouring outstanding military cadets' in an interview with Iran Press News Agency said: "Education and training of human resources including military cadets as a strategic asset is important in every country, and they play a vital role in the development and economic growth of the country."

Brigadier General Ashtiani noted the importance of training of military forces, empowering them to improve Iran's defensive might. He said: "Our aim is to promote the military cadets' capabilities in different aspects including moral, ethics, defensive, and security."

General Ashtiani added: "As our goal is to improve cadet's skills and capabilities in many different fields including their professional skills, we have signed a series of cooperation agreements with government institutions and ministries to provide cadets with needed skills and knowledge in every professional field."

General Ashtiani went on to say: "As a result of the young cadets besides participation in the defense of the country, they learn relevant skills which will be useful to them after they finish their military service. They can be a useful member of society as a highly-skilled and professional worker."
