Iranian ambassador to Sweden Ahmad Masoumifar

Speaking about US sanctions on Iran in the wake of the Iranian people's struggle with Coronavirus the Iranian ambassador to Sweden Ahmad Masoumifar said the Iranian and American people are both victims of Trump's madness.

Iran PressEurope: "Coronavirus has grown tremendously in the US, and Trump is taking advantage of this opportunity to profit big companies," Ahmed Masoumifar wrote in a tweet on Sunday.

The Iranian ambassador to Sweden said that Trump is expanding sanctions against Iran while ignoring the Coronavirus disaster. "Both the Iranian and American people are victims of Trump's madness," he underscored.

According to the Iran Press, the number of people with coronavirus in the US, especially in New York, is increasing every minute.

The US President Donald Trump has spoken out against the outbreak of the virus in China and its spread in some Asian countries, and in some cases mocked it.

After the wave of the Coronavirus reached the US, criticism of the US government's handling of the crisis is growing.

On Sunday, 29 March, The United States is advising residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut not to travel domestically after the number of reported coronavirus deaths doubled to over 2,000 nationwide within two days.

It took about a month from the first report of a coronavirus death on February 29 to the number reaching 1,000 on Thursday. By Saturday, the number of reported deaths had doubled to 2,000.
