Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said that the country's Film Week is to be held in Pakistan and Iranian films will be screened in different Pakistanian cities.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to President Raisi's recent visit to Pakistan, Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili told reporters on Wednesday that during the meeting in Pakistan, President Raisi paid special attention to the intellectual, cultural, artistic, and media spheres of the two countries, along with the expansion of economic and commercial cooperation.

Esmaili reported about the comprehensive cultural agreement between Iran and Pakistan being pursued, and whenever it is finalized, the agreement will be signed and implemented.

He referred also to Eqbal Lahori as a Pakistani Muslim figure who knew the Persian culture very well and said that Iran and Pakistan are two brotherly countries with common interests with a long history of culture and civilization, and the close ties between the two countries are a demand of the two nations.

The Iranian minister highlighted the issue of Palestine and the Israeli genocide that is going on in the Gaza Strip, pointing out that today, the issue of Gaza is an important concern of the world's Muslims, especially the Muslim people of Iran and Pakistan. So far, from the beginning of the all-out war against Gaza since October 7, over 34,000 people have been martyred and over 77,000 others have been wounded.

People in Gaza are simultaneously coping with both the Israeli strikes and the famine emerging out of the regime's war on Gaza.
