Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organisations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov

Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organisations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov said that there is no need for a new Iran's nuclear deal.

Iran Press/Europe: He wrote in his Twitter account that a lot of noise is heard about “new and better” deals with Iran. Those who are committed to JCPOA must remember that according to this Plan upon its implementation “the Iranian nuclear program will be treated in the same manner as that of any other non-nuclear-weapon party to NPT.

He also went on to say that there is no need for a new nuclear deal. JCPOA should be implemented and after that, the Additional Protocol with its intensive and intrusive verification will ensure confidence in the exclusively peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, unilaterally declared his country's withdrawal from the JCPOA and the return of Iran's nuclear sanctions in violation of Washington's obligations under the deal.
