The second shipment of aid-package from the Shanghai municipality and a number of companies in the eastern Chinese city were sent to Iran to fight the coronavirus.

Iran PressAsia: The second package of aid offered by the Chinese government and its Red Cross society which includes 15,000 coronavirus test kits, and medical equipment which can be used in containing the Coronavirus, send to Iran.

China will pursue its assistance to Tehran in meeting the needs including cooperation in areas such as epidemic prevention and medical control and treatment, Iran Press reported.

The Coronavirus outbreak began in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and appears to have been originated from non-domestic animals. Chinese officials now admit that the virus probably spread in Wuhan in November or even earlier.

More than 3,100 people have died and over 93,000 have been infected worldwide. The vast majority of cases are in China.
