Iran PressAmerica: The US death toll from the coronavirus topped 16,500 on Thursday, as New York reported its highest single-day death toll yet. Meanwhile, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in New York state has reached 159,937 — outpacing any country except the United States as a whole.
