Iran Press/America: According to Turkey's Anadolu news agency, the highest spike of incidents occurred in 2017 with 2,599, with an increase of 94 percent from 2014 level.
The report showed that the occurrence of the initial hike of incidents in 2017 can be attributed to Donald Trump's decision to suspend immigration from Muslim-majority countries to the United States.
In the first half of the current year, CAIR recorded 759 acts of violence against Muslims.
In addition, 506 anti-mosque incidents have been recorded by CAIR, including damage, destruction, and vandalism to property.
"The overall trend in federal agency-instigated incidents demonstrates that the FBI is the most common type of federal government agency for which American Muslims report acts of bias, accounting for almost half of the total number of cases: 1,177 total bias incidents," said the report.
CAIR is a Muslim civil right and advocacy group, its mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims. 101/211/218
