New Delhi (IP) - The market for buying a sacrificial animal has developed in different Islamic countries with the arrival of Eid al-Adha.

Iran PressAsia: Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, is the second and the largest of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam (the other being Eid al-Fitr). 

According to IranPress, the Livestock Market of New Delhi near Jama Masjid, regarded as a symbolic gesture of Islamic power across India well into the colonial era, is booming, and pilgrims come to the market to fulfill the ancient tradition of sacrifice. 

'Jama Masjid,' serves as Delhi's primary mosque in New Delhi, is one of the most beautiful mosques in India; This mosque has a very long history dating back to 1658. It was also a site of political significance during several key periods of British rule. It remains in active use and is one of Delhi's most iconic sites.
