Iran Press/Iran news: Arriving at the port city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran on Tuesday, the minister of culture and Islamic guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi said: "The Persian Gulf is the identity of the Iranian people and the National Day of the Persian Gulf is considered a symbol of Iranian identity."
Talking to reporters and journalists he added that the province of Hormozgan has played a very significant historical role in symbolizing this credibility.
The minister of culture and Islamic guidance, Seyyed Abbas Salehi has traveled to Hormozgan province in southern Iran to take part in special ceremonies marking the National Day of the Persian Gulf.
Also on the occasion of the National Day of the Persian Gulf, on Tuesday 30 April 2019, the Iranian flag is hoisted high on all ships and destroyers of the Iranian Navy, including the modern Sahand destroyer, proudly displaying the Iranian flag in the strategic waterway which is forever associated with Iran.
The launch of a new Book: The Permanent Image of the Persian Gulf
The minister of culture and Islamic guidance along with Governor-General of Hormozgan province, Fereydoun Hemmati, also participated in the official unveiling and launch of a new book: "The permanent image of the Persian Gulf", written by, Mohammad Ali Sadid Al-Saltaneh Kababi."
Visiting the book and cultural products store "Buketab", Salehi told reporters that Bandar Abbas, after Tehran, is the second city in Iran to create a large cultural club (Buketab) in the form of 30 thousand books.
