The Iranian Foreign Minister has stressed that the terrorists don't want to see calm and stability in Syria, as well as the wider region.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif received his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Muallem in Tehran on Tuesday.

During the meeting Zarif referred to Israel's recent admission that it had helped the terrorists in Syria, congratulating the Syrian government and people for their fine victory over the terrorists. Zarif also called for convergence, cooperation and coordination between regional countries.

The two foreign ministers conferred on a number of issues during the meeting.

According to an Iran press report, Walid al-Muallem, who is in Tehran to meet with senior officials, has already met with Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani. 

During his stay in Tehran, the Syrian foreign minister is also scheduled to have a meeting with the secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani. 

The visit to Tehran by the Syrian foreign minister is taking place at a time when the 4th tripartite talks of the leaders of Iran, Russia and Turkey over the latest developments in Syria is already slated for 14 February in the Russian resort city of Sochi. 

New United Nations special envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen, who is also on a visit to Tehran, met with Iranian foreign minister and his senior aide on political affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari on Tuesday to discuss the human crisis in Syria. 103
