Moscow (IP) - Iran's Chief of Police, Brigadier General has visited Moscow to meet with Russian security and law enforcement officials.

Iran PressEurope: The purpose of his two-day visit is to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in the field of law enforcement and to learn about the capabilities of the Russian police in fighting organized crime.

Upon his arrival at Vnukovo International Airport, Ahmed-Reza Radan was welcomed by Iran's ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, and Director-General of International Cooperation of the Russian National Guard.

During his visit, Radan will meet with Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, First Deputy Director of the Federal Security Service of Russia, and Viktor Zolotov, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

Radan expressed hope that his visit would be the opening chapter for deeper security cooperation between Iran and Russia. He emphasized their shared experiences in combating narcotics, terrorism, and organized crime.

The Iranian Police Chief will also visit departments of the National Guard of Russia, the General Directorate of the Moscow Police, and the Russian Police Museum.

Both sides are interested in sharing their police experiences and benefiting from each other's training and equipment.
