Iran Press/ Europe: On the sidelines of the protest rally against UK officials' illegal acts against the Islamic Center, the Chair of the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) in the UK Massoud Shajareh told Iran Press correspondence that the UK government is trying to manipulate social, political, and moral aspects of Islam to adapt them (Islamic thoughts) to its own thinking.
This is the fourth consecutive week of protests against the anti-Islamic policies of the UK government.
Back in June, the closure of the Islamic Human Rights Commission sparked a protest, where the protestors told Iran Press reporter that the closure of the center is illegal and politically motivated.
According to Shajareh, Islam is defined by God in Quran and further added that Sunni and Shia scholars can speak about Islam not the secular officials of the UK government.
Palestinian activist Latifa Abouchakra also shared with Iran Press reporter in London that the UK government has adopted a policy of de-Islamization and acts against freedom of speech.
She, elsewhere, stated that the rally will continue in front of the Islamic Center of England until the return of the Muslim board of trustees to their work in the center or an election of a director from the Islamic community.
Another Muslim woman told the Iran Press reporter that the rally will continue calling the UK government action as an act against human rights.
